A word about length - a few of my posts have sparked some really lively debate. Unfortunately, the commentators have sent me some really long treatises. Since this is my blog, I get to be a benevolent dictator. I’m not going to insult you by editing your piece for length. I will send you an email from herbansprawl@yahoo.com letting you know it won’t appear, and (this is where the benevolent part comes in) I will normally ask you to resubmit something that is much shorter. This is in the interest of keeping the conversation going, rather than starting up a college lecture series. Now if you send something really offensive, I’ll just selectively ignore you.
I hope that clarifies things so that no one goes away with hurt feelings.
